The Venetian Lagoon Through the Lens

Service Description

Discover the breathtaking beauty and delicate ecosystem of the Venetian Lagoon with our full-day photography workshop, Lagoon Wildlife and Islands. This 8-hour eco-sustainable adventure takes you deep into the heart of the lagoon, navigating its serene waters aboard quiet, electric boats. Guided by Simone Padovani, European Union Climate Pact Ambassador and professional photojournalist, you’ll capture the unique landscapes, fauna, and spirit of this fragile environment. During the tour, we’ll visit four enchanting islands: Le Vignole – A hidden gem with lush greenery and stunning views. Sant’Erasmo – Known as Venice’s garden island, rich with agricultural landscapes. Lazzareto Vecchio – A historic island steeped in mystery and charm. Mazzorbo-Burano – Vibrant colors and picturesque canals blend with natural beauty. The lagoon is home to an incredible array of wildlife, including iconic species like the glossy ibis and, with a touch of luck, pink flamingos, alongside a variety of other lagoon birds. Simone will provide expert guidance on photographing wildlife and landscapes while sharing insights into the lagoon's ecological importance and its pressing challenges. This workshop is perfect for photographers passionate about nature and conservation, offering an unparalleled opportunity to refine your skills while immersing yourself in Venice’s natural heritage. By choosing this experience, you’ll also contribute to raising awareness about the lagoon’s fragility and the need for sustainable exploration.
